Summary, etc In our country, woman is considered productive, compensative, bestowed of property as well as she is considered belligerent, malicious and destructive. This double character manifests in the goddesses as well. There are dangerous, aggressive male eminent goddesses like Durga and Kali whereas, goddesses like Lakshmi and Saraswati who are benevolent are equally important.
