National Higher Education Policy 2020: How to Make It Happen?

NEP-2020 envisions a complete overhaul and re-energising of the higher education system in the country with the purpose to deliver high-quality higher education, with greater equity and inclusion. The new policy offers far-reaching amendments and transformational reforms in school and higher education. Apart from making students equipped with 21st century knowledge and skills, one of the stated aims of the policy is to instill pride in being Indian not only in thought but also in spirit, intellect, and deeds.

Policies deliver due dividends only when implemented in letter and spirit. For successful implementation of NEP-2020, among other things, effective planning in its implementation at the grassroot level would be critical which requires a thorough understanding particularly of those people who have to actually implement it. It is in line with this intention the book has been written which is aimed to act as a guide to different stakeholders in the effective implementation of the National Higher Education Policy- 2020.
